Why Do Predictions Capture Our Imaginations?

Sounds possible, but is it really?

If everything wants to talk to you when will you possibly have the time to listen to your own thoughts?

That's just the obvious. I'm sure we can think of more...

The real point though is about belief vs. understanding.
Understanding takes work. It's much easier to follow a beautifully paved path :)
